Speed Sense wire for 2005 Cobalt LS

any one know the location of the speed sense wire in a cobalt 05... i checked directechs but its not correct and also a online sourse we have at circuit city (ccroadshop) both were incorrect any ideas?

directechs is right, there is no speed sense in the cobalt, you need a speed pulse sensor to read your wheel speed. try alpine nve k-300

i suggest just leaving your navigation as is, those units cost more than they are worth in my opinion.

yes they are, but most people on here are hell bent on hooking up the vss wire, no matter how many times i say you dont need it with pioneer units

whats the downside if i dont hook up vss wire?

just doesnt know my speed?

cant show the cool screen which looks like 3 guages 1 one of which is speed?

... expected time on travel not correct?

it will still know your speed, just off by 1mph or something.

 

There are a couple times you need it:

-when you have no GPS signal to track you, it can still show you are still moving

- it is slower to pick up you have stop. If you stop suddenly, the arrow will still show you moving and then readjust itself about 2 secs later.

 

Thats about it. No sense is spending 200 dollars for that, unless you have some assets to spend.

I hooked mine up on my 2003 Maxima and it made the navi work better.
