kingchkn Posted March 22, 2007 Report Share Posted March 22, 2007 It's an inline fuse for the current power. It will still work, but you should have a fuse. You can pick one up at Autozone or something for around $5. 5 amp is all you need. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

My question should have been; I just bought a AVIC-D1 and started to look over the parts. The wiring harness for my AVIC does not have the small black box or fuse attached to the yellow wire. What does this box do? Should I try to locate a new harness or do you think it would be possible to get a NEW black box from an audio shop and solder it inline?
