chevybernie
d3 2006 chevy trailblazer with pics and review!!!! bought from crutchfiled using all discounts d3, xm traffic module, btb100, back up camera $1172 xm used coupon 77.00 plus traffic nav 42.00 This is my ist navigation and so I went to CC for install, They did d3 ,xm and btb for $350 I did not get the free camera for a few weeks after and Cc installed that for $75,,, CC was so so on the install, the ist guy left about a 3/16 gap on the bottom of my unit and said that is the only way it would fit, he did do the bypass for me even though i had to show him how, his boss said no but I slipped him $20 on the side and he did it,, when my camera came in I went back to install this time a diffrent guy, well funny thing is he fixed the 3/16 gap BUT screwed up my bypass @!#$%, its hrd to go back and complain to the boss about something that he would not do in the ist place, so I took my dash apart myself and saw that the mute wire popped out I put it in, tapped it it tight with other wires and re intstalled my unit making sure ther were no gaps,,,after i leaned more about the unit I found out no VSS hooked up and no illumination hooked up,, I will leave it be my navigation has been very very acurate without vss and the night thing I can live without,,overall I give CC a C+ bypass - works perfect navigation - very very accurate btb100 - works great I had to do my address book 1 at a time, and does not auto connect but still ok for me verizon motorola krazr xm traffic - I live in south florida and it works great back up camera - I have it set up so if the camera button is set to BATTERY then when my car is on I have to push map button then rear camera to turn it on but if i set it to ground the camer comes on as soon as I start my car and when I push the map button it goes off, nice to have both options I haved had the unti intalled for 3 weeks now and have pretty much gone through the whole unit and touch very single option and menu buttons and all work great over all I give the d3 A+ A+ A+ thank you to all who post here and manage this web site 2 months ago I was newbie now I am pro ( well almost)
chevybernie
some people complained about all the buttons being on the left hand side of the d3 for me it works perfect I rest my elbow on my center storage bin and my wrist rests on my gear shifter, I dont have to take my eyes of the road to hit the buttons I just move my arm forward a few inches and hit the buttons
