kerrys914
Can someone post the wire colors and the associated connector location for each of the wires? I want to make sure things are okay with my connector. Cheers
MisFit
you still dont have that thing up and running yet?
kerrys914
Pioneer has it now. It should be on it's way back to me this week I think is was about $100. The harness I have is missing the speaker wires and the black box connected to the yellow (+) wire. I just want to make sure I have an okay power cord. I don't need the speaker wires as I am using the Preamps. I am hoping on not having to spend $49 for a new power cord. The seller is still being an A$$ and I am sure Paypal will come through for me.... Atleast the money I seny him is frozen by Paypal. Cheers
necro
Which cable colors are you needing? Sounds like you don't need the speaker wires which are: Gray, Gray/Black Purple, Purple/Black White, White/Black Green, Green/Black The Orange/White is illumination Yellow is the battery (+12v) constant power Red is the ACC , switched power Black is ground (as always) Pink is the speed sensor Blue is the antenna control Light green is the parking brake
kerrys914
Thanks. I was looking for wire color and it's location in the connector. I have two black wires (ground) which is weird. Not sure why Pioneer would need two seperate grounds?? I have these wires soldered together with the parking brake wire and the "by-pass" wire. The installation book only indicates one black wire (ground) I just want to make sure I have all the wires in the Correct locations. Thanks guys
necro
One black wire is for ground and the other may be amp ground. Amp ground should have a white stripe on it. You want to use the solid black wire which is chassis ground.
kerrys914
I 'll look again but I am 99% sure they are BOTH solid black and next to each other in the connector.
necro
Hmm.. Is there any writing on them? You could always ground to the pioneer harness cable and then attach the spade connector to your chassis that way.
