seven2k
I had the installer put it in and now my stations sound horrible. Any way i can fix this myself now. It has static and fades in and out. The little dish on the avic the bars do not go pass 2. Thanks
cntrylvr79
Do yourself a favor, take it back to the place that did it. Most shops are very picky about customers going in after them and trying to fix things. You may fix the problem, you may not. If you don't and something else happens the shop may void your installation warranty and say now you have to pay them to fix the problem. My guess is though that the power antenna lead on the antenna adaptor is either not hooked up, or the power antenna output of the avic doesn't supply enough current to turn on the factory antenna amp. The latter can be fixed by moving the power antenna lead of the adaptor to the accessory wire of the radio.
seven2k
i really dont think they would do anything cause they said that aftermarket stereos dont do very well with radio. I might take it somewhere else.
cntrylvr79
You might want to at that point. In fact I'd stay way from the shop that did it then.
spider2k
i really dont think they would do anything cause they said that aftermarket stereos dont do very well with radio. seven2k
I took it to another place and the guy said what cntry said. The power probably didnt get connected or its not amplifying. 45 bucks. Going to take it on this thursday. You would think that you can get AM and FM with no problem i guess they did not know what they were doing or didnt want to bother.
PCGuRu2K
You probably need to do the same thing I did on my '07 STI. Since our antenna's are in the rear glass window you'll need to supply the Antenna cable that goes from your HU to the Harness a 12v source. You'll have perfect reception again after that.
