avicer
Question to all backup cam owners. I want to install one of them cheap backup cams from ebay (around $30). I am interested in a nightvision 120 degree cam, but now am doubtful: 1. are the led's for the nightcam visible and look funny while driving, or even blind vehicles behind me? do i really need night vision or is a regular cam good enough at night? 2. is the 120 degree angle too radical that it distorts the picture too much? If anyone has a cam installed, please let me know your experience and recommendations. Thanks.
idbl_fanatic
If you REALLY want good night vision, make sure you get a B&W one, the LUX for them are the lowest, the lower the LUX the better you can see in darkness
avicer
well the thing is, is night vision really an added benefit since there is not "absolute" darkness anyway with either the reverse or brake light on...
idbl_fanatic
I can tell you from my color cam (ebay) I can't see CRAP at night, unless I am REALLY close to something.

bobmun
You do not want a PAL camera you want NTSC. Be realistic $30, how well do you think it is going to work?

avicer
well, you do want a PAL camera if you live in an area that uses PAL. But that is besides the point - any other experiences from anyone? Thanks.

hvs69
Get TOYO VTL300 license plate cam. It performs very well in low light conditions. I am personally using it and would highly recommend it. It is pricey ~ $
