cartrends
I installed Pioneer's update (used disc sent from them) and I still have an echo problem. I tried turning off one speaker, and still have the echo. I have the mic installed away from the windshield (on my overhead console) and still have the echo! What else can I try? cntrylvr79
Try moving the mic to the driver's A Pillar aimed at your head. Set the sound to come out of the left speaker only. Repairing the phone with the volume turned down helps too sometimes.
cartrends
The mic is equal distance from the a pilar and my head - being installed on my overhead console. I tried turning off each speaker sepaerately (both right and left) still with no luck. I also paired it with the volume on the phone turned all the way down. I still have the echo. cntrylvr79
Ok try moving the mic TO the a pillar. Aside from that, the only other thing I can say is read the 15+ page post on the echo problem.
ducatiboy
How loud is the volume on the Avic for the phone? Even after the update with the volume very high, it will still echo, but it will get louder than before without an echo. Try 3 bars from the lowest volume setting. Still echo? cartrends
Lowering the volume did the trick. Thanks!

Can you repost the link to this 15 page document? I am having the same problem and can't seem to find it.
