Z2 question

i just installed a z2 in my trailblazer. I was thinking about puttin monitors in the headrests and a flip 13in flip down. My question is if i get a flip down that has its own dvd player can i set it up 2 b able to view the dvd on the Z2 thats playing from the flipdown while driving?

I would say that depends on if the flip down has audio/video outputs. If it does, then you should be able to plug them into the video input and watch them on the z1s screen.

yes, that would be the way to do it, but he said z2. and the unit would need to be bypassed to allow video in while driving. sorry but you still cant bypass the z2

Oops! Right! well then there's always the rearview camera input with a toggle switch.

i am using the audiovox license plate cam 4 the rear view. what do i have to do w/ the toggle switch???

well,if you are using a rear view camera, then it's a bit more complicated. You'll have to get an AB switch to choose which input you want (rear camera or flip DVD) and you'll need to simulate putting the car in reverse. Depending on how your reverse is connected, you'll have to connect a switch that either sends +12V or grounds the reverse wire. search this forum, there's info on how to do this.
