Annangl77
I just had the D3 professionally installed in a Chrysler300 a few days ago. I also installed the Bluetooth CD-BTB200 and Sirius SIR-PNR2. I am going to attempt the DVD bypass this weekend… The question is: After I move the mute wire and ground it with the parking brake, will that affect the Bluetooth and other muting capabilities? What is the proper way to complete this bypass?
necro
The proper way to bypass is found in my sig. You will not lose any muting function. If you have an external unit that still needs to mute the radio (such as factory mute controls or a Parrot system), you can buy another wire with pin and insert that into the original Mute wire slot. Then tap into it as usual. The bypass will still work and you can use the mute on your external device.
Annangl77
but isn't the Bluetooth CD-BTB200 an external unit that will need to mute the radio?
whtcrxghst
It communicates through the bus system. Doesn't use the mute wire but isn't the Bluetooth CD-BTB200 an external unit that will need to mute the radio?
