victoryc6
I just had an AVIC D3 installed. The radio and navigation work great with full sound. However, there is no sound when using my bluetooth phone, CDs or the ipod. The ipod screen appears normal and the song seems to be playing. Thanks
MisFit
your powering your amp with the antenna turn on instead of the amp turn on. switch the blue to the blue/white. or your ip bus cables are backwards

Thanks Hit Menu while listening to the radio then hit system under the AV menu. There is a button that is labeled 'ANT CTRL' or something like that and it will toggle between just powering the antenea or whatever sorce is currently powered on. Try that before you do any wiring changes.

This unit is perfect for the car. I sure am glad I passed on the factory nav.
lsujay
No Problem... after looking around a little it looks like it may have been installed incorrectly, but this the way I fixed mine. I don't know if it's right, but it works. Check out my other post with all of the backgrounds that I've made myself and found elsewhere. Post any that you've been able to find or make if you don't mind. I've requested other users to make some for the C6, but none have been made yet (other than the ones Ducatiboy made a while back). http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6421 Follow the link above - you must be logged in to see the attachments. I love my D3 in my vette - I fretted on getting the Z1 or Z2, but found the Ipod connection was what I needed to listen to MP3's and didn't need the CD slot to be open (I can leave the NAV DVD in there always). I now have every CD that I own ripped and loaded on the Ipod and I love it.
victoryc6
Thanks for the tip on the backgrounds. I'm planning on putting one up. One was posted on the corvette forum a while back. You should be able to find it by searching AVIC. BTW, where did you but your bluetooth mic. Mine is currently below the ignition switch in the factory spot and does not work that well. Im thinking of moving it higher up.

Im thinking of moving it higher up. I ran mine under the stearing wheel (hidden under the panel) then I ran it up to my visor, hiding it under the panel between the side window and windshield (I didn't have to take it off, I just slide it into the open crack all the way up). I then fastened the wire to the visor rod using a zip tie. It has worked great being on my visor. When I have the top off I just flip the visor down half way so the wind doesn't interfere... It seems to work fine and I haven't had any complaints. Thanks...
