NY99Q45t Posted May 25, 2007 Report Share Posted May 25, 2007 When I first put in my D3, the shop demo screen popped up, and once again after I had the battery disconnected for a period of time. A couple days ago, without taking the unit out - i.e., without touching any of the other wiring - I tried to hook my VSS up at my speedo, unsuccessfully. I gave it a signal momentarily, but at the wrong pin (tach) - and it started to initialize 3D at that point. The vss is now disconnected, but now, every time I power the unit on, I get the shop demo screen, and the nav is quirky, e.g., the arrow will move as I change direction, but the map won't; or the arrow will travel down the street sideways once it gets going;accuracy is off.
