lswift84
Hey all, I tried searching but i couldnt find anything definitive. Is there any way to download videos off youtube then convert them to divx? im using firefox btw so if there is a good extension for it that would be great. Thnx
PaisanNYC
There are several YouTube rippers available for download. Search Google and see which one you like better. TMPGEnc should be able to convert the ripped videos to DivX.
necro
I found a website that ripped the FLV's from youtube. I then used a converter to make them mpgs and another converter to go from mpg to mp4. All that run around for a crappy quality video. :/ If you can find videos in a higher resolution, I'd try that first.
lswift84
Go to youtube and copy the URL from the address bar such as: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKgRbTaKAuo Then go to www.keepvid.com and it will give you a link that will download the FLV file (you may have to add .flv to the filename after it has been downloaded). Download Dr.Divx (google search that) and jus mess with the settings to get the right screen size and audio quality you want. It will give you a .divx file that you can burn to dvd and play on the D3. Just remember the output can only be as good as what you put into it so dont expect miracles. P.S. dont keep watching the video as your downloading it because it will make it take forever to download. Good Luck
necro
Agreed with above. YouTube videos on the D3 have pretty crappy quality. If you can find higher resolution videos somewhere else, I'd invest the time and get them there.

OrangeElement
by the way take a look at 6ave.com deals are only gona last another 4 hours If the best price on that site is $999, don't bother. You can get it for less than that nearly anywhere. Check on ebay and/or bizrate.com, etc. I bought mine at BrandSmart, for $799, and I paid too much.
