Input in rear of Z2

Recommended Posts

It does have the plug for a SWI-PS, yes.

You can use a SWI-X and then you can do anything that you want to program. It's possible there are buttons on your friends armada which are not programmed in the SWI-PS. The SWI-PS only has a limited number of "commands" it can send "vol up and down, track up and down, mute?, memory next and previous, next media selection, etc. There are 9 commands if I'm not mistaken and I don't remember which. It's possible she has some weird command on her steering wheel which is not pre-programmed in the SWI-PS but you can pretty much program anything in the SWI_X. But you can always map a steering wheel button to anything the SWI-PS will do.

but yes, the SWI-PS will work with the Z2. As for the specific buttons in the armada? Not sure but if the SWI-X will work with IR the SWI-PS will work hard wired. It will be better to use the SWI-PS but you are limited to the number of commands that are pre-programmed in the PS.
