Can you enter an destination in the D3 as an intersection?

Recommended Posts

Previously I had a Tom Tom and you could enter a destination by intersection.

This would be helpful because sometimes when meeting with clients all he/she can provide is a intersection and not an address.

Thanks

nawh, you can;t.... but check out those iPud controls!!!! :P

That's pretty lame. I just guided my mother to a local Sushi restaurant by plotting to the intersection on the Tom Tom Go she'd just bought. It's a very useful feature. I'm afraid I'm going to have to wait 'till Pioneer fixes that unfortunate omission before plunking down my cash for a D3.

It's a shame, 'cause I really want one, too.

Hey,

I just bought an Avic-D3 and put it in my 05 Nissan Frontier CrewCab with Rockford Fosgate stereo. It works like a charm.

You can do cross-street navigation. The manual explains how on pages 27-28.

Basically this is how:

Press Map - this puts the map on your stereo display.

Press Menu - this brings up the navi menu.

Press Destination (on screen) - this brings up all your destination options.

Press Address Search (on screen) - this brings up house # entry area.

**Ensure your zone is set correctly

**Leave house # blank

Press OK

Press City - enter your city here

Enter the first street of your intersection

**When the street list appears, there will be an intersection icon to the right

**Press the intersection icon to display all streets intersecting with the first street.

Press the street you desire

Press OK and you're on your way.

Hope this helps.
