I need an as soon as feasible answer to this problem: If I buy an AVIC-N3 from the US market, will it work in Europe OR NOT? . Ok, jumping over obvious answers like FM radio stations and DVD disks for navigation, is it something ELSE that I must be aware of? I placed a bid on ebay and the seller just answered back: The unit wont even work outside north america. Nothing more, just this. Making this story short, I intend to use the same DVD disk version (CNDV-60M) BUT those for Europe. I can't believe the unit will NOT WORK, BUT please let me be aware of any issues that you may know. PaisanNYC Posted May 31, 2007 Report Share Posted May 31, 2007 the EU discs will not work in a D3 out of the box. The D3 searches for specific files made only on the US version of the discs. There was a fellow from the UK who posted here that he hacked the files and burned new CND-V60M discs for his D2, and most functions (not all) worked. Search the forum and you will find the posts. samsung Posted June 1, 2007 Report Share Posted June 1, 2007 I did call the swedish tech support at Pioneer and ask about this when i did planning to buy from US.. The only thing the tech says was that the Mhz "Radio" is not the same on the US machine then the Mhz that we have en Europe.. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
