duderstadt
Hey, My installer could not get the bypass to work with my 05 Expedition so he put in the "switch" for the bypass. It works randomly. Not very happy. I pulled my unit and found he pulled the mute wire from the connector and cut the pin off. Where can I get another wire harness so I can do this bypass the right way myself. Thanks
MisFit
if your not running any amps, you could move the blue/white wire instead
duderstadt
We did not install any amps. He used a harness to wire the unit to the existing factory amps and speaker wires. Any problems if I move the wire?
MisFit
yeah, if your running the factory amp, then your already using the blu/white wire. dont move it
duderstadt
I am going to pull the unit again later today. I do not remember if this wire was hooked up. If not, then I put it in the pin slot where the mute wire goes and ground it, right? I will disconnect the "switch" he put in also. I do plan on checking all of the grounds also. I have a feeling this could have been the original problem. Thanks
MisFit
you dont want to put it where the mute wire is supposed to be. you put it to the new location. this picture is the stock location. you want it in the pin directly below the yellow/black in this picture
