Armyman
I' sent my AVIC-D1 to Pioneer two times because the screen didn't slide down when I try to access the DC/DVD slots and I'm about to send it back for a third time In less than a month for the same thing. Does anyone have any idea what the problem can be, the guys over at Pioneer are batting a Thousand.
soundsecurity
My d1 used to do that. It was caused by the opening in my dash was rubbing against the unit. Hope this helps
BigFloppy
KEEP PUSHING THE EJECT BUTTON If you push it and release, it will only go down half way
steve310
KEEP PUSHING THE EJECT BUTTON If you push it and release, it will only go down half way I think he means it won't move at all.
Armyman
When I push the open button nothing happens. It's like the thing is dead
cntrylvr79
Remove the unit from the dash, and unscrew any brackets on the sides of it. With it powered up in your hand try hitting the eject button. If it moves, then the problem is the install.
Armyman
Everything was fine until about two months ago. I've had the thing for almost two years. It's in a 05 F150 so there is nothing it the way of the srcreen.
cntrylvr79
Like I said try removing the screen from the dash kit and hitting the eject button. The screws going into the sides of the unit may be causing the mechanism to bind up especially if they're screwed in too tight.
