Guest
is there any way to have the sirius channel/ipod/cd track name displayed constantly over the map (on the bottom or something). it would be nice to look at the map and some audio info at the same time, instead of having to hit AV to see what i'm listening to. zakpeters
I am interested in this exact same request...anyone figured out how to keep the audio track info on the bottom of the screen when in Map mode? When a track changes, this exact info is displayed on the bottom of the screen, but disappears before you can even read it...I want to be able to keep it down there, but after going through all of the menus I can't see an option for this...please let us know.... Tickbrotha
When I had my Avic90 installed the "Disp" button on the remote would bring up a small infomation strip along the bottom of the nav screen. It would only stay up for 4 seconds at a time. But it showed channel source name etc. I had this IR code programed into my steering wheel interface. And with the Z1 it still does the same function. I do not have a remote any longer (90 was stolen) but since the unit does recognize it, it is possible. We just need to find a remote with an output for "Display" I also had the "OK" from the avic90 programed in so that i could easily confirm the disclaimer screen everytime the car started without reaching for the remote. But I have yet to find a similar function for "ok" on the Z1 to do the same with.
skicrave
The above post is a good solution if you want to use the remote or have steering wheel controls. Another option that I've stareted using is to leave the AV screen up, and turn on AV interupt. You get voice commands along with the map screen when you need it, and the rest of the time you get all the song info. I would have to agree that the UI is one of the biggest holes in the Z1, it's like Pioneer ran out of time and didn't have a chance to finish anything other than the main menu screen. Compared to OEM systems (Lexus and Acura), the look and interface are a complete joke.
