Swetch
I recently bought a D2 from someone. And I am assuming that they setup the bypass on it. I am looking at the wiring harness and I am somewhat puzzled. In all the tutuorials I have read it says to ground the parking wire and move the cellular mute wire and ground it. It looks as if the cellular wire is grounded, however the parking brake wire looks as if it hasnt ever been touched. First question is, is it absolutly neccessary to ground the parking brake wire, and secondly can I use either of the grounds on the harness. It appears that there are two black leads coming from the harness. One of them goes to a relay of sorts and the other black wire goes to a spade connector exiting the relay. Please advise. I understand if this question has been answered 100 times already, however most of the posts I have seen are for the newer D3 and it appears to have a different harness for what I can tell. Thank you in advance.
whtcrxghst
Yes you must ground the parking brake wire. Any ground is fine
