badz24s
I searched with no luck. I was reading the install manual (page6) for my D3 and it says not to use the antenna control lead as a turn on lead for an amp. Is it OK to do this or is it BS? If you can't use this, what should I use for a turn on for my amp? Ignition wire? 07 silverado classic crew if it makes any difference. Thanks in advance.
cntrylvr79
You could use the amp turnon wire. The blue/white one.

VBLUE42
Yea, and please dont be offended by this comment, but if you had to ask that question you probably shouldn't be installing this stuff yourself. But hey! its nice to know someone else in MS has a D3 now.
badz24s
well, I am used to using the antenna wire as an amp turn on. The blue/white wire is labeled as remote control, so I was thinking this had something to do with a wired remote control used to operate the d3.
99 rs
You could use the antenna wire if you wanted to but your amp would only be on when your tuner is on (FM radio). If you switch to a different source such as CD or satellite radio then your amp would turn off. You wouldn't do any damage at all.
