Rolexis Posted July 4, 2007 Report Share Posted July 4, 2007 Im looking for the VSS wire for my 2008 F350 The truck came with factory NAV so im assuming the VSS wire is in the wire harness already. I have the stereo out and I am now looking for the location of the wire or the color code. Im looking to install a AVIC-Z2 ( hopefully bypass with found before i install it) Also, does anyone know if factory NAV antenna can be used with AVIC-Z2 NAV. Any info would be great. MisFit Posted July 4, 2007 Report Share Posted July 4, 2007 the stock antenna is probably under a panel that will hinder reception for the avic. part of the reason why factory nav sucks so bad. as fpr the vss, 08 is a whole new platform so there is a chance there wont be a vss. i did a d3 in an 08 F450 the other day, and it worked fine without the vss Quote Link to post Share on other sites

As per reading other forums, the GPS doesn't contact satellites all the time and that it rely's on the VSS for navigation Quote Link to post Share on other sites
