I had a nice Pioneer singel din (the first one released with 65,000 color OEL display) and it hated heat. Anytime it was left in the heat all day it would work everytime, but I would not be able to eject the cd. I would have to use the keys to pull the deck out of my dash so it could cool off, and a few minutes later it would eject my cd. I'm sure all cd players do it, but Pioneer catches a lot of flack because it's a very popular audio video company. I would probably say Alpine is in a far behind second. I don't think even Pioneer can resolve this problem, because it is very hot sitting inside of a small dash area with very little "cool" air circulation. I hope that my post will help someone.
