shacall
I just installed my D3 last night which included bluetooth, ipod and pioneer's backup camera. There's a violet wire that taps into my reverse wire on my vehicle. However, I'm confused about its purpose. If I select backup camera from the D3, I get full video from the camera. This is WITHOUT the wire connected. So, is the wire there to only make the camera video viewable in reverse? Or...does the screen automagically go to the backup camera view anytime you're in reverse? If it's the latter, I can understand the usefulness of hooking it up. Thanks!
idbl_fanatic
Yes, it will automatically switch to the cam when you go into reverse.

knight20
Make sure that the setting on the backup camera is selected to battery.
