  1. Sorry...I panic'd too soon. I went through all my wiring, and noticed one of the power wires came un-spliced. It was the only wire with a cheap "wire tap", so I did the proper splicing (solder) and it works great now!!!
  2. I installed XM radio in my D3 last week. It's been working fine, except my presets were being erased. This was due to me hooking up power to ACC. So, I rewired it...to constant power. My presets stay put now, but I'm having a different problem now. I am not getting any audio from any station on XM. If I switch over to NAV, iPod, radio, etc... my audio works fine. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Thanks, Gary
  3. Ughhh...that's what I was afraid of. Thank you very much for the quick reply!!!
  4. Hi, I've noticed a few others having this issue, but I wasn't sure what the clear answer was. My XM presets are erased every time I shut off my truck. I'm assuming it has something to do with the power wire. Does the XM module need constant power...or just ACC? I was hoping that I just didn't know how to use the presets, but it looks like I made a rookie mistake...and will need to rip apart my dash once again Thanks!
  5. Well...things started magically working again. I didn't reset it, so nothing changed. Not sure how/why it's working now, but I'm happy. I might do the same and relocate the box behind the glove compartment for easier access (in case I have to reset it later).
  6. Well...I called Pioneer support. Unfortunately, they weren't able to offer me too many suggestions. They suggested that I reset the btb200 box and see if that fixes my issue. For those of you that have the CD-BTB200 installed... Did you mount the BTB200 box behind your HU? I really don't want to go through the trouble of ripping apart my dash every time I have to reset this thing. If it's not behind your HU, where did you put it? Thanks, Gary
  7. I've seen a few references to cartronixplus.com while doing a search here. They seem to have one of the better deals on a new Z2. Unfortunately, I haven't heard of anyones experience dealing with them. Has anyone ordered from cartronixplus.com? If so, how was it? Thanks!
  8. I'm not aware of anything that changed with the stereo. I haven't changed any of the configuration settings, and I haven't added any new hardware to it. I just bought the sirius module, so I'll just reset the bluetooth module when I install that. Hopefully a reset will help it??
  9. Thanks for the reply. I'm unsure what you mean though. My phone says it's pairing with "Pioneer BT". The connection is definitely made, and I am able to call out. I just can't hear the person on the other end.
  10. Did you do anything to get it working again? Reset it? ...or did it just start working?
  11. I've been successfully using bluetooth with my D3 for over a month now. I have 3 phone registered with it (2 blackberries and 1 LG). It's been working great, up until last week. My phones still pair/connect fine with the D3. I can dial out, but it's like I've lost all audio. When it's dialing, I no longer get ring tones. The person on the other end can hear me talking, but I can't hear them. Any thoughts on what this could be? Would a reset possibly cure the problem? I really don't want to tear my dash apart, unless it's a possibility. Any tips/suggestions would be VERY much ap
  12. Bummer...can I accomplish this with the Z2? I'm trying to get rid of the DVDs. Thanks for the reply!
  13. Hi, I currently own a D3, and am able to play movies via my iPod...onto the NAV. I'm looking to purchase a D3 for my wife now, and have a question. We currently have an Alpine screen and DVD (detached) player for our kids in the back. Can the iPod movies be directed to the screen in the back, and NOT on the NAV? I'm trying to replace the DVD player (which is now dead), with a simple iPod that will have all movies stored within. If this is possible, can she still use the NAV when the iPod is playing the movie in the back? Many thanks!

Todd, You can see some pix here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9472383@N08/?saved=1 I would do the job yourself. I'd be more than happy to send you instructions on how to rip the dash apart (pdf from Toyota). It really was a much easier job than I had anticipated. Let me know if you want some pdf's, and I'll send them to you. Gary
  15. Joey, I've only had my D3 installed for 1 day, so I can't answer all of your questions. However... 1) I believe if you tap into the VSS wire, you'll get much better results. I've tapped into mine, and have no issues that you described. 2) I have mine set to fastest, but that's just because it's the default 3) On the D3, there is no way to sort the POI by distant. Kind of sucks. You have to use vicinity search for it to sort by distance.
