So the GPS on my Avic D3 isn't working and i have no idea why. The unit is getting the signal from all the antennaes and everything seems to be working fine. I was taking a trip from Montreal Quebec to Ottawa Ontario, when halfway through the trip, the GPS put me right in the middle of NYC. And That's where it stays at now. No matter where i go, on the GPS, i stay in the same spot in NYC. It's like it's not even able to find me or locate me. Any idea what's going on and what i can do? Thank you! Joey

Hey dude, i live in Montreal. The thing works very well inside the city and the suburbs. Once you get out about 30-45mins outside into the country, it wont use voice guidance anymore for some reason. It WILL show you the map and where to turn and such, but i have no idea why it no longer tells you vocally to turn left or right blah blah blah... and also it doesn't use a green line to your destination, it uses a purple line, i guess it's because there's no voice guidance...

Yes I have To me, it made a big difference when i put it outside on top of my roof... before that i had it sitting in the middle of my dash.

what size would i get for the Avic D3? Thanks If they do not have a listing for that radio, you can customize the size just measure it and give it to them. ya there's no listing for the D3. anyone have the exact measurments or i'll just do it myself! thanks!

Got some questions for you guys. Im sure your expertise can help me out. 1- first question is, does anyone else notice that the D3 is a little innacurate? I do have my antennae installed inside my car (the front of my dash), would that have anything to do with it? Would i be better installing it on the top of my trunk or roof? The unit sometimes take a while before it places me on the right street 2- Do you guys put the travel setting on "shortest" or "fastest". I find the D3 takes me the long way a lot. My parents have the Garmin C550 (i think) and it takes me the short way to get to

Hey guys, i recently also got this unit. Question is, i did the bypass, i can watch DVD's while driving and use my Navigation while driving also. Only thing is, my screen wont show the IPOD video's i'm playing. The sound and everything works, but then the screen is empty. Can you guys please help out? Do i need to upload those vids to my ipod with a special codec?\ Thanks a million Joey
