kingcha
my n2 flipout will only become functional after it has cooled off. i live in valencia, ca (very hot) and literally during the day, if i want radio/navi i have to point my air conditioning at it for 10 minutes before it even turns on. is there a way to disable this? cntrylvr79
No, besides if it was disabled odds are pretty good you'd end up damaging something internally.
installthis06
You could move to Alaska
jflx60d
I live in Florida, also hot, and this happens everyday to me. It is good to know my unit isn't breaking and that this is normal. I have found that when I use a sunshade in my windshield, the avic now comes on within the first minute- usually.

ReedH
I live in Texas and work in the heat every day, it gets to about 107 lately, and my N1 hasn't done that to me ever. Maybe some units are more sensitive than others...?
cntrylvr79
IT also has a lot to do with the vehicle's design. Radio location, air circulation behind the radio, oh and the most important location of AC venting.
