bun-b6661 Posted July 23, 2007 Report Share Posted July 23, 2007 Alright, I had bought a 9600 the other day, it obviously needed a new ribbon cable, to make sure I hooked it up, tried opening the screen, then it shut off. I ordered 2 ribbon cables, tried both of them, then tried the old one again, and it will not turn on. I have done plenty of these repairs on the 8400/8500 and have never had a problem. Does anyone have a clue if there is something that im missing? is there some kind of button combination that I have to enter? Thanks Quote Link to post Share on other sites
cntrylvr79 Posted July 23, 2007 Report Share Posted July 23, 2007 THere shouldn't be any sort of button combination required. Once the new ribbon cable is in, the system should work properly given that the ribbon cable was the cause of the failure. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
