xtrodinary
Well after searching this site and looking at the manual, I am unable to re-pair a phone which was paired before back to my AVIC.... I have a Motorola Q which was paired before. I then upgraded the Software on my Motorola and that lost the pairing. Now when I pair is says failed right after entering the 4 Digit code. The manual says 1234 but that does not work. I even tried with a different Chocolate Phone and same problem. So I did a Level 4 Reset and cleared all old registrations. TRied again, same problem. Is 1234 the standard that everyone is using to pair phones?
xtrodinary
Nevermind. Found my problem. I guess Factory Restore does not set the Pairing Code back if changed. I also forgot that you can set the Pairing Code on the Registration screen. After setting it to 1234 and then pairing all worked fine....
rrussello
Is this the Black Motorola Q from Verizon with the BTB200? I know you have it paired successfully but I am about to purchase both and I want to make sure that both play nicely together. What does and doesn't work? Thanks for the reply! kensukikatayo
I have the Z1 with the LG KE800 Chocolate Platinum. I paired up the phone yesterday and it worked great. Later on that night, I accidentally pressed "set as authorized" and after that the pairing won't work at all anymore. I've tried deleting the devices off each other's lists but could only do so successfully on the phone. I've tried changing the code back to 1234 (from 0000 that I set) and neither of them will work. I've also tried renaming each in hopes that they'll recognize them as a new device and reset. Any help please? Thanks!
mdmill1
The pair code I used on the z-1 is 1111.
jbhorne
You can set the pair code in the connection settings menu.
