Thermo144
Does anyone have pictures of using wiretaps to connect the ground wire, parking brake wire, and mute wire for the bypass? Im not quite sure how to use wiretaps and pictures would be very helpful. Thanks so much!

Thermo144
Thank you! But, can you explain how it works? How do you strip the black wire in the middle of it, rather than at the end? And then you just run the black part on the bottom part of the wire tap, and the other wire in the top part of the wire tap?
Thermo144
The more I look at it, the more it looks like the wire may not even be stripped. Do you just stick the black wire through the tap and close it, and it will go through the wire coating itself?

Well that, and connecting it to the other wire.
necro
Exactly. You do not strip the wire. Just place the T-tap on to the ground wire, then put the other wire (parking brake or mute wire) in the other end. Then crimp the lid shut. The metal piece inside cuts into the wires and bridges the connection. I only needed one tap. I used the existing one that was already attached to the parking brake.
