doc1976
Hey guys, I was reading motor trend the other day and Bose now has a Nav system. It look pretty cool. I am wondering if anyone has used one or has an opinion on it. Also there is no pricing on it, only a phone number to call for info. Anyone know what the pricing of it is? http://www.bose.com/controller?event=VI ... x.jsp&ck=

hottwhyrd
looks pretty nice. is soooo sick of everyone hopping on the gps bandwagon. jensen just released a portable unit, eclipse has a double din with a tom-tom built in, alpines double din has a vcr slot for the "blackbird", garmin and magelan and all the others are producing gps' faster than apples making cell phones! the problem is all these portables are expensive. and im not talking about the end user either. cost on our 299 portable navs are 307 and on the 399 and up models profit is a couple dollars. rediculous the first company that can make a portable unit that has a hd in it that is updateable for under 200 bucks is gonna sell a shit ton of navs. just an idea for any shop owners, managers or anyone else who wants to make money off nav. buy used or refurbished units off ebay for 100- 150 bucks then........ wait for it rent them out!!!! ive heard of shops renting gps for 10 bucks a day and sure thats not alot of money but how many familys go on one trip a year that they only need nav for a week, do they wanna shell out the 300+ bucks for a unit that isnt going to be used often or will they gladly throw you 70 bucks for a weeks worth of using a nav? just an idea im trying to start up here in my hometown in kansas i would imagine this would be awesome for biger cities
