tjc005
Hey, I was sure I had read of this problem, but now that it happened to me, I can't seem to find the posts. I have had my D3 less than a week, and today, I get no music from my ipod. I don't have it set on video mode. All other sources work fine. The display shows that the songs are playing. I checked the connections, reset the unit, and even bought a new cable, but the results are the same. Any ideas?

tjc005
Headphones work, and now, I do get sound through the D3. It was scratchy at first, but after removing and reinserting the plug, it seems ok now. Possibly 2 bad cables or just some dust in the dock connector?
tjc005
It started acting up again today, and this time, I was able to get headphones in it while it was malfunctioning. Same static and/or silence coming through. Good call on the output. Is that a repair worth doing or is it time for a new ipod?
installthis06
I'd wait on the new ipod. rumor is that some slick new ones are coming out in 08...but you know how the apple release goes
tjc005
Oh, good to know. There's no way I can go without my music for 6 months (especially in Apple time) Maybe I will try to take it apart myself and see if i can't ghetto rig something to hold me over for that long.
