josh352727 Posted August 20, 2007 Report Share Posted August 20, 2007 installed d3 last night, had question bout illumination wire. wire colors matched dimmer wire colors, so ignored colors and hooked it up to dash illumination wire. does that sound right? should it switch fom day to night with ill? bypass works flawless ty avic 411. steve310 Posted August 20, 2007 Report Share Posted August 20, 2007 Is it not working? Your post is a little difficult to understand. When you turn on your headlights, the D3 should dim and go into night mode. If the "si" you are talking about is a Civic, the wire you should have hooked it up to is the red wire with a black stripe. josh352727 Posted August 21, 2007 Author Report Share Posted August 21, 2007 the orange wire on aftermarket harness said dimmer, the orange/white said illumination so thats the one i used. its working, but had two dash lights go out was wondering if this could be the cause.
