sdb6
I've seen a few remarks on this site regarding the BT functionality on this unit and that it's not as good in that area as the D3. Can anyone please give me their thoughts on this? BT is a prime reason for me in the decision to buy either one of these units but I do like the advantages of the Z2 over the D3 in terms of media capabilities. Thank you. whtcrxghst
Basically, the bluetooth for the Z1 (the NDBT1) was Pioneer's first try at bluetooth. They never came out with a new one for the Z2 so it is still using that first bad adaptor. The sound quality is not as good as their second attempt (the CDBTB200 that works with the D3), the echo cancellation is not as good, the number of phones that work with it are fewer, and it doesn't not do bluetooth audio because it doesn't have the A2DP profile (or something like that.) So that about covers it...It works great with some phones, terrible with others
tankernate
Keep reading on this forum. If you decide to go with the z2, there are some threads for minimizing the pain of BT on the z2.
