gixer311
I installed my new D3 and I keep getting insert appropriate disc...and then a read disc error. I get this on every CD I try including the Nav discs. The radio works fine, but no CD's. I sent it back to the dealer and they said it was working for them, so their sending it back...they said it has to have something to do with the install. What could I have possibly hooked up incorrectly. I would appreciate any help. It's in a 2007 Altima with just the base system....Thanks
MisFit
there is nothing about the install that would keep discs from being read. unless every disc was scratched to shit, which i doubt. the drive is defective, and they're assholes
Harix
Remember the drive reads slower than your 40X computer drives. So try to insert the disc and leave it alone.
gixer311
Just got the unit back from the dealer and it is a different one (SN#'s don't match box/unit), but I think it was a display model or something (shows some signs of use...anyways I just got done putting it back in and it works like a peach! Thanks!
knight20
Hey gixer, Did you hook up your VSS for the D3? If you did, could you put out a little guide as to how you got to the wire? Thanks.
gixer311
No, I did not hook it up...I am waiting for someone else to do it so that I have some idea where to look myself.
MisFit
Speed Sense purple/white instrument cluster, pin 31 On vehicles with BOSE audio systems and without bluetooth, can also use blue/black in the radio harness. On vehicles with bluetooth, can also use purple/white at the bluetooth control unit under the rear deck.
gixer311
This pic shows wire in pin 30, but no wire in 31??? I hooked up to it anyways and I get a speed signal, but it still lags a bit (all though the speed is right on with the speedometer). Is this normal??? Oh, disregard the note that it is pin 31 in the pic.
