I've been having the common problem with my Z2 (mfg month march 07) hang on the startup screen EVEN on a cold start on a 55 deg morning. I called Pioneed tech suppourt and was appauled by their return process. The lady told me to just put the unit in a box with the original sales reciept, a description of the problem, and my return address. There is NO case number or anything. WHAT?? This seems like a problem waiting to happen, with no case number I can't be sure that I'm even going to get it back. How will they even know if they've worked on it before and I'm still having a problem when I get it back? Has anyone returned their unit? How was your experience and what was the process like? ScubaSteve Posted August 29, 2007 Report Share Posted August 29, 2007 I'm not sure this is what you are looking for but I had an N1 that broke down so I called Pioneer and was told basically the same thing. Only difference was that I had to pay $200 to get mine fixed because it was out of warranty by that time. I felt the same way you did but it all worked out fine on my end. Hope this helps. Good luck.
