monkeyboy Posted August 30, 2007 Report Share Posted August 30, 2007 Can anyone confirm if you can receive calls on an iPhone (via D3 Bluetooth) when it's connected to the D3's iPod connector? I read on a 2 month old post - that it might have a problem getting calls when using the iPod function of the iPhone - connected to the D3... that the Bluetooth doesn't work. In other words, you can do one or the other... but no phone calls when the iPhone is docket to the D3. Can anyone confirm? Thanks. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I know the iPhone won't transfer number over via bluetooth... but there has to be a way to manual enter a few. I have mine installed now, but I can't figure out how to store a few numbers! Itchy Posted September 6, 2007 Report Share Posted September 6, 2007 Enter them manually through direct dial, then store them in one of the 6 presets on the D3. This is all done through the D3. By the way, I've noticed some glitches with the iphone if you connect it via the dock adapter after the car is running - sometime the device won't charge. However if you dock it prior to starting the car it seems ok. I also get an error message on the iphone stating this device is not approved as an accessory, but it goes away and works fine - even with BT. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

monkeyboy Posted September 6, 2007 Author Report Share Posted September 6, 2007 Apple does not have video playback enabled to an external device, with the iPhone. You can only do this from an iPod... and then you must have "video out" selected in the setup menu. My understanding is that the current iPhone version won't play video to an external device. Okay, back to the car. I will try the direct method (as you mentioned)... I did this before and could make calls... but I can't figure out how to store them. Oh, well - I guess all parts of the system can't be good. So I got the numbers in there... but it looks like there's no way to put names with those numbers? It only displays the stored phone numbers? Until Apple updates the bluetooth of the iphone to offer OBJECT PUSH PROFILE (OPP) or Pioneer updates the BTB-200 to offer OBJECT PULL PROFILE it will not be possible. Its a fat chance on anything from Pio but I have requested that Apple offer OPP in a future update. I guess we will have to see what happens in the future. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
