SilveradoJoe
Im looking at ideas for my 06 Tahoe where to mount and how to run the ipod wire Was hoping to see some pics I have an 06 Silverado and I put mine in the glove box. Pretty sure you have the same glove box in yours, and it's a very short distance to feed the wire to. My 30 gig fits perfectly in the smaller compartment on the left inside the glove box. I just ran the wire to where I plug it in at, and set my ipod upside down in there. Sometimes I just have to watch as I close the glove box to make sure the wire doesnt get caught but it's rarely a problem. When I remove the ipod, I just let the cord rest in there and I haven't lost it behind the glove box yet. If that happens, the glove box drops down very easily and you can pull it back out. Since the ipod controls aren't used (except for pressing play if you watch video) I didn't want it visible, therefore I do not have it "docked" anywhere. It's just a hard drive for my D3. If you would still like a picture I could snap one for you. Hope this helps.
pennengr
I did the ash tray conversion from this forum for my ipod dock on my Audi A3 - works and looks great: http://www.audiforums.com/m_347910/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm
VBLUE42
Try these guys: http://www.proclipusa.com/default.asp They make the best ipod cradles/mounts Ive seen. I have the padded cradle made for the Alpine cable installed in the cup holder in my car. The one for the Alpine is the one you should use if you have a Pioneer unit that uses the CD-I200 ipod interface.
