Bunger Posted March 24, 2015 Report Share Posted March 24, 2015 I have an iphone and a 7000NEX and have myself using audio over BT instead of CarPlay... Mostly because i am listening to apps that CP doesn't support. However, this tends to drain my phone battery. Is there a way to stream music over the USB connection without using BT? I connect my iPhone 6 via USB daily and stream audio (mostly via the SiriusXM) app. Just plug the iPhone in, then go to the AV source an select the appropriate USB1 or USB2 source that you've plugged your iPhone into.I have CarPlay disabled (I don't like it) in the Smartphone setup options, but I don't think that's necessary.
