Zeeman28a
Just purchased the Pioneer AVIC-8100NEX and I'm going thru the setup and cannot figure out how to set the clock. The only reference I am able to find is how to set the display format of the clock. This is from the Pioneer Manual.I've even gone through all the NEX manuals for all the different models, and it's the same instructions as I posted. Instructions on how to change the display format, but nothing about how to change the date and time itself. So either I'm blind and keep missing the section on how to set the time and date, or Pioneer doesn't have those instructions. And AFAIK, I've gone through all the menu settings on the unit and still cannot find how to actually set the date and time.I'm hoping someone here can maybe walk me through it.Thanks.Z. 493008
The clock sets the time automatically from the GPS system. As soon as Navigation gets a good signal, the time should be correct.

Oh FFS, that didn't even occur to me. Would have been nice if they mentioned that in the manual. Thanks 493008. I've got the 8100 setup on my workbench right now and the GPS wasn't plugged in. I wanted to learn it before putting it into the car. I'll try plugging in the antenna later today to try that out. Z.
jhren
I have a feeling the antenna won't get a signal on your workbench.
Zeeman28a
Actually, it did. My workbench is right under a window, so I was able to expose the antenna. Sure enough, the time and date was updated witihn a couple of minutes. Thanks for the fix suggestion. It's installed in my car now and working great.
