porupsky
AVIC 8100 NEX 2015 Jeep Wrangler third party installer If I turn off the vehicle with the source in FM1 and the come back and start the engine, the head unit will change the source to FM2 and drop the audio three levels. It will do the same if I turn the engine back off and on again..meaning it will then move to FM3 and drop three more levels. All this occurs about 5 second after I start the engine. Has nothing to do wit bluetooth as I disconnected my paring to see if that was it. Any ideas?
garyd9
Did your installer do something for steering wheel remote control? It sounds like remote signals are being sent to the head unit each time the car starts (or perhaps stops.) Regardless, get whoever installed the unit to fix it. porupsky
Gary, Yes, you are correct. The installer is saying that the interface controller that was installed will not work in the short term as the interface has not be completed to the 2015 Jeeps. So the buttons do nothing currently, but I wonder if it is causing this behavior. Thanks for the tip.
porupsky
Hum...installer is saying that the interface to the steering wheel is not connected. What could be causing this behavior?
493008
I would pull the unit out and see if anything is plugged into the SWC jack. There are multiple meanings to "not connected".
