tosc7506
Hello all, just installed my 6100 today (thanks kids), and I have encountered a problem with the backup camera. I removed my Kenwood DNX-6140 receiver but left the wire that I had connected to my fuse box reverse gear signal input circuit which the Kenwood required when the car was in reverse. I then attached the wire to the one on the 6100...figured this should be an easy kill, but nope. When I put the car in reverse, the screen switches to the camera but there isn't a pic. The camera worked this morning with the old on but not the new one. I went into the 6100's setting and checked that the camera was enabled. I even had the laptop out in the driveway with me with the instruction cd running. Any suggestions? Thanks Tim
joemamma1954
Is your rear view camera rca plug, plugged into the brown rca input on the head unit? And is your camera powered on, either by constant power or by the reverse light. The wire you attached to the head unit, only tells the head unit to go to rear camera mode. tosc7506
The camera is wired to my reverse light so it's only powered when the light is on, I'm pretty sure it's plugged into the yellow RCA plug. I'll change it to the brown plug in the morning, man I feel stupid. Looks like dash is coming apart again...lol.
