Multitask
You might have to send it in, but try putting the Update on a USB stick like you did on the SD card, and see if it finishes
huddy
Make sure you downloaded the right update for your model and that when you transfer it to the USB its the only folder on the stick. Then print out and follow the directions to the letter. Good Luck.
frankyhg
just want to double check again is the file supposed to be like this? only one folder called "AVIC5000NEX" under the root of USB stick
Multitask
Yes, the ONLY thing should be in the USB stick is that folder
vtvette
This exact same thing just happened to me with my AVIC 8000NEX, exactly as Franky described in his first post. I made it through the update prep and all just fine and when I hit "start" the head unit rebooted and gives the same "software error" message. I followed the instructions on Pioneers site precisely. I was using a USB stick, on USB port 1, fresh format, FAT32, bluetooth turned off and audio turned off all per Pioneers instructions.
sduong80
Anyone fix this issue? I think i just bricked mine too. I just tried updating to 1.11 and it failed. HELP Thanks in advance!
asd255
You have a problem with the SD card should be replaced
sduong80
Ok I was able to get it to flash, used a different flash drive. On screen it says flashing 1.11 to 1.11, then unit does the update, but after completion, when you go to settings and check system firmware its still at 1.03. Do I need to go to 1.08 first then to 1.11?
asd255
can be directly on the 1.
