Bretthiltz
I've had the 4100nex for around 9 months now, out of the blue I'm getting weird noise through my front RCA's.I've tried different rca's and it didn't help. I have front and rear channels hooked up to alpine pdxv9 with 6.5" ID component speakers. Crossovers are mounted next to amplifiers. Sound is driving me insane. It happened after I installed a mono Soundqubed amplifier. I have unhooked the amplifier to see if it would go away and it will not. Im really not tryong to be stuck without a head unit to send this out for warranty. Has anyone else had a problem? Noise changes if i turn on my headlights sometimes. kush1007
Sounds like a bad ground somewhere. Possibly the Alpine amp for mids / highs
Bretthiltz
Sounds like a bad ground somewhere. Possibly the Alpine amp for mids / highseven though it was fine for 9 months? Ground cable is 2 gauge, 5 inches long.

Always be sure to connect / disconnect rcsa while the power is not hooked up to the unit. Pioneers have been somewhat notorious for that. I make sure to always plug RCA's up before plugging power harness in. Next, grounds do go bad after corrosion etc. Check the ground for that amp and be sure to sand it down to bare metal and be sure the connections going to the ground are free of corrosion. Last but not least you could try buying a ground loop isolator to get rod of noisetheyre pretty cheap on auction sites and online. Hope this helps....
