Tusc
I wired the car, mounted and installed the head unit. Everything worked for about 15 minutes while I played music from various connections and played with the navigation system. When I went to the Setup key and began choosing settings, I was adjusting some sound file setting for a system noise in one of the apps. As I was scrolling the optional noise file titles, the screen stopped responding. The face buttons work. The capacitive screen does not. I cycled the car power on/off. No change. I pulled the harness off the rest of the head unit, waited, then tried again. No change. Would pulling/checking the tiny fuse at the back be worth doing? Again, everything except the touch screen function works. What can I check for myself before taking it to a pro or sending it in for replacement/repair? Thanks for any guidance. Brett in CT. RadicalNine
Try pulling that fuse (I have never pulled that fuse cuz I didn't need to so I don't know wat will happen), and disconnect and reconnect the power harness. If it still does not respond to touches...then hopefully you have a return policy.
