snooter
Newbie here, don't know if "response time" is the correct terminology. I have factory nav in my 06 MINI. My wife just got a 08 Honda Element and I was thinking of ditching her Magellan Roadmate and popping for a PIO AVIC-D3 . Compared to my factory nav, the Magellan roadmate takes a long time for the satelite to find us and to re-route us when we need it to. I was thinking of going with a Garmin, cause I heard this was better in this respect. But how does the indash PIO AVIC-D3 perform here? And what make the unit better in satilite response time? Is it the brand, external or internal antenna? Would appreciate any feedback / suggestions you could offer. Thanks

HiFiSi
Yeah, the response time on the d3 is (for the most part) instantaneous.
