Zlog
Well we had some jerk take *most* of the CDs/DVDs from my car last night. Every CD except my wife's Justin Timberlake and Avril Lavign, and my EAST Nav disc. So basicly they're either going to be back for the nav unit later or they just didn't realize they had grabbed the west-nav disc. Wont matter. My car's got an alarm installation appointment today. The real pickle I'm in is what to go about doing about my stolen west disc. Sure i could move to the east coast but I'm hoping theirs a bit more practical solution I checked the pioneer site and I didn't see any D3 discs on the site. I'm also hoping theres a way to avoid buying them.... if thats a possibility. Thanks in advance guys! Zack
Raiden
Maybe have someone else make a copy of theirs. Ok contact Pioneer, I am pretty sure they will be more then happy to sell you another one! This is a good story guys, ALWAYS use a copy of the disk in your car in case it get's scratched/dammaged/stoles, etc!!!!
Zlog
Amen to that Raiden. I think it should be mentioned somewhere in the FAQ sticky that: If you lose or have your discs stolen Pioneer WILL replace them at a reduced cost. You need only call the customer service number, tell them what happened, and they'll give you a fax number to fax a copy of your receipt to. They'll then call you back and sell the discs to you for $40. (Instead of $250!) Woot !
PaisanNYC
That is true. Actually Pioneer used to sell the D3 nav discs (both discs) on their website parts.pioneerelectronics.com for $40 and change, but they took it off the site. Just give them a call and tell them the situation!
HiFiSi
Just move to the other side of the country. Problem solved!
Zlog
Hahaha, I've had two people tell me to move after i told them the story. I think the $40 new disc is a wee bit more cost effective!
PaisanNYC
I can show you around New York!
Zlog
I'll keep that in mind. It worked out well though. I had been nagging my wife to allow me to install an alarm/remote start/etc. After this she thought it was a great idea!
