chaotic yeti
Greetings! This past Friday I installed an AVIC-D3 in my 02 wrx. It was the first HU, speaker install I've ever done, and it went without a hitch. I'm having a custom sub enclosure made, and will be purchasing an amp and sub shortly. I just want to clarify the connections made to the HU. RCA to sub inputs, and amp control wire: is that all there is to it? What gauge wire should I use for the amp control? k.tuner
rca's to sub output's actually ..you had right idea but wrong word ...and standard 18 ga remote wire is just fine ...many call this wire "primary" wire you can buy it anywhere. make sure power wire on one side of vehicle and rca's run on the other side not so important if you only run subs but for you mid/high amp must do.... make sure you have a solid bare metal chassis ground for the amp.... good luck sounds like your doing great !!!!!!!!!
