Lately, I've been getting a noise from the speakers that only occurs when I start the car or turn the car off. The best I can describe is a whirring or grinding sound. It stops once the unit boots up or the car is shut off. It does not matter if the car is running or not - just powering up and powering down. I have not done any of the mods nor installed any of the updates. Has anyone else experience this? Thanks for your help. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
installermarc Posted October 22, 2007 Report Share Posted October 22, 2007 Does it make this noise on any source or is it confined to one (fm tuner, for example). If it is everything, could be the internal amp (send to pioneer for service) if it is one thing (Ipod or XM) that is connected to IP bus, could be a bad cable or a bad componant. My best advice would be to let a GOOD local installer have a look. Sounds like from your discription to be equipment related and not install related. Just may need some real troubleshooting to pinpoint. Since you didn't say what kind of car, or any ad-ons you may have, I can only guess. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
