collink
Okay, I don't know what I did...but all of the sudden, my screen went dead. I could still poke it and it would beep and things would happen. Like for example, I could poke ht in the general direction of the 1-6 buttons for Sirius and it would change the Sirius channel, but I can't see anything. I figure it's probably a ribbon cable or something...but I can't figure out how to get this damn thing apart... Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, it's an N1 Thanks a bunch, Collin
whtcrxghst
If you send it to Pioneer, they will change the ribbon cable for free. If the LCD itself has burnt out, thats gonna cost some $
collink
How will I know if it's the LCD rather than the flex cable? And how much money will the LCD(s) cost to replace? I know the parts themselves are less than a dollar each...it's probably the labor that's a bitch... But yeah, thanks for your help. - Collin
whtcrxghst
In direct light, can you still see the faint outline of the touchscreen buttons? Is yes, its probably the LCD. If not probably the ribbon cable or something bigger. Don't know how to tell for sure without sending it in
collink
Okay, then it's probably the flex cable...cause I shined a maglite on it and I couldn't see anything... Thanks for all your help. - Collin
gsxr800
Sounds like the flex cable. I just had mine replaced about 1 month ago. Had the same problem. Also the buttons on the front panel were acting goofy. Doing weird shit.
