scooby103
Hi Guys, So, just had my Avic D3 installed and the installer could not find the VSS wire. He is stating it is now controlled via the CAN BUS. Is this accurate? Is there a way to hook the VSS into the D3 on a 2007 Dodge Ram Quadcab with factory stereo, not the upgraded infinity? Any help you guys could offer would be appreciated. Regards, S>
installermarc
Yes it is. If your installer used a canbus adaptor, it should have had the outputs for speed pulse, reverse, parking brake, illumination, and maybe an output for the steering wheel controls. If he didn't use one, than I would bet he would have to get it at the transmission or the pcm. Not very fun.
scooby103
Thank installermarc. Do you know of the adapter? The thing is he didn't have an adapter or know of one for this. Do you know who makes one and perhaps a link so I can order it?? THanks, S.
